Expressions and Miscommunication
So i was reading National Geo last week , ( pretty pretty pictures ..god forbid i read it for the articles) and there was this article on expressions and how they cross cultural and social boundaries ... some fella went to study some obscure tribes and found that though they have never socialized with other 'civilized' societies , they had the same expressions for 'happy' , 'sad' , 'angry' ....therefore expressions are universal ( very sweeping but cleanliness is next to godliness after all)
But expressions are not easy all the time ....I mean body language is bloody difficult to understand sometimes ..reminds me of that poem 'Not waving but drowning ' ( i'll tell you bout it next time we're in Sentosa right after lunch in the water) - so in my quest to coerce frens to humour my ridiculous thoughts I'm been asking people to do ' on demand expressions' ..... the most challenging have been incredulous, happily fierce ( similar to psychotic but not really ....more Jack Nicholson in 'As good as it gets' and less 'The Shining' ) ..... but the one that takes the cake...that bakes my bacon .....that sizzles my shezizzle...is 'fiercely aroused'.... anybody willing to try that one?
